It is just days before Christmas, and it has been a tough couple of months. The economy is in the toilet, and lots of friends of mine are being laid-off daily. They are all in the financial field, either working for banks or investment firms, and never thought they would be the one to get the boot.
I have a problem with what is happening in the economy today on several grounds:
1. These CEO's knew exactly what they were doing, and they knew it skirted on being illegal. They drove these companies into bankruptcy with out blinking an eye. They only thought about the money they themselves were making, and not one thought about the families that were tied to their actions.
2. Now - like idiots, we have to pay the price for their illegal actions. The banks are taking it out again on the middle class. The little guy is being squeezed for the crimes of his father.
3. Does this not prove to anyone that the federal government had a hugh hand in this? I do. I am beginning to think that every congress person belongs in jail. They totally took their eye off the ball for self gratification.
